Ph.D. in Narcotics and Addiction. From Srilanka.
PhD. Thesis subject: “Narcotics and its Causative Social Problems in Pakistan ”.
Practical Work profile:
During student period formed Karachi University Student Welfare Organization. (KUSWO) to work against Narcotic and Addiction By organizing symposium and seminars providing awareness About the hazards of Addiction.
In 1989 established Anti Narcotics Welfare Organization which did the students, Professors, Doctors and Social Workers who join this Organization encourage. In 1991 A.N.W.O was registered with Social Welfare Department, Government of Sindh.
Anti Narcotic Welfare Organization started its campaign for awareness against Narcotics and Addition awareness through different programs in 1991. Several Addicts were get treated and rehabilitated by ANWO efforts. Various Seminars and Symposiums were held in which experts of Anti Narcotic Agencies from Pakistan and Abroad takes part, including representatives from foreign missions were also present. Some of the dignitaries who attended ANWO programs were U.S. Consulate General in 1989 Mr. Joseph. D. Melrose , British Deputy High Commission in Pakistan in 1989 Mr. Patrick D. Wooden and Drug Enforcement Cell
In charge Mr.Jack Doods. The chairman of Asian Counseling of British High Commission in Pakistan, Vice Consulate of Kuwait Embassy in Pakistan Mr. Hatim Al-Utaibi, German Consulate General in Pakistan and President of Narconan U.S.A Mr. Clarke. N. Carr are among the distinguished personalities who attended and cooperated in various ANWO programs.
The efforts of Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan provided employment to several persons who were jobless and were involved in Addiction. The other activities and efforts of Dr. Tariq Muhammad Khan from the plate form of ANWO to curb and rehabilitate the addicts is taken as a very respected were in our society.

Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan had the honor of being the only person among 25 top NGO's in Sindh selected twice Member Executive Committee for ANF – NGO's Forum Sindh.
Author of Book on Addiction and Narcotics:
Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan has the credit of writing 320 Pages thick book in Pakistan National Language “Urdu” under title Manshiyat, Samaji Masail aur sad-e-Bab. In this book Dr. Tariq defined Addiction and Narcotics and its' types, reasons and background with suggestions to control or eradicates this social evil of society. This book is only one of its own kind on the subject, therefore Higher Education City District Government Karachi recommend this book to be kept in libraries for sale to students and staff and also as “Referral” book for the students of colleges and Dr.Pirzada Qasim Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor of Karachi University recommended this book for syllabus of Karachi University students. (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology). I am publishing English version of this book.
Also Higher Education C.D.G.K. Karachi started a joint awareness project for students, in which Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan delivered Lectures on Narcotics, Cigarette Smoking and other dangerous tobacco uses in all Educational Institutions.
Dr. Tariq Khan as Journalist and Sportsman:
Dr. Tariq is involved in Journalism for last many years and remains editor of several magazines. He also works as Reporter and Chief Reporter for different daily Newspapers. Presently he is the Chief Reporter of a local Newspaper.
Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan was also a devoted Sportsmen, he remain as first class Hockey Player, playing on collage, University and District level. He was also a professional player from Habib Bank and played 1981. National Junior Hockey Championship which was held in Peshawar and to his efforts his organizational stood third in this championship and won Bronze Medal.

Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan had the honor to remained member of Zakat and Usher Committee for North Nazimabad Blocks M & N City District Government Karachi.
Dr. Tariq Biography:
Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan belongs lower middle class family and he was born in Liaquat Abad area of Karachi . His father Mr. Abdul Malik Khan was haven small personal business. The Liaquat Abad as being the area of labor and working class with majority of illiterates posses many kinds of social bad habits. The use of different types of Narcotics was common in this area and from his child hood Dr. Tariq observed the maladies of Addiction seeing many innocent people dying due to this evil habit. Under this situation Dr.Tariq developed a special sense to work against this evil of our society.
